Watch Out For the Ghosts

A film still from Watch Out for the Ghosts shows a Black woman in a white dress standing in front of a cotton bale. She is facing away from the camera. There are more cotton bales around her and some trees in the distance.

A personal meditation on loss, family, home and reclamation through the artistic process of Adebunmi Gbadebo. Gbadebo creates works out of organic materials from the South Carolina plantation cemeteries where her formerly enslaved ancestors and their descendants are buried.
