Kevin (b. Mansfield, OH) is the Commonwealth and Ruffin Foundation Distinguished Professor of Studio Art, Director of Studio Arts, University of Virginia. Everson’s art practice encompasses printmaking, sculpture, photography and film, including 12 features and over 300 solo & collaborative shorts. Recipient of the Guggenheim, Berlin Prize, Heinz Award, Alpert Award, & Rome Prize, & grants and commissions from Ford Foundation, Knight Foundation & Creative Capital, Everson’s films screen internationally at festivals, cinemas. art institutions/biennials and have been featured in mid-career retrospectives, solo exhibitions & group shows including the Whitney Museum of American Art, Tate Modern; Halle fur Kunst Steiermark, Graz, ICA Philadelphia, Centre Pompidou, & Harvard Film Archive.
