Becoming Human (Chiet Chea Manusa)

A film still from Becoming Human shows a seated teenage girl and sleeping woman on a tiled floor in a cave. The girl is wearing a pink shirt and blue skirt and is staring off to the left. The woman is lying on her left side. There’s a line of multi-colored flags stretching across the cave wall and a gold statue on the right.

An abandoned cinema’s former spirit guardian wanders through rapidly transformed landscapes to reach her rebirth. Shocked by the world’s brutality, she must decide whether to become human again or remain a homeless ghost.
